Manos de Cristo, a local nonprofit serving members of the community, is now accepting orders for their annual tamale sale fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit the organization’s low cost dental, emergency food and clothing assistance, and education programs that serve over 25,000 adults, children and seniors in Central Texas.
The Manos de Cristo Tamale sale deadline for orders is Monday, December 4 with tamale pick-up set for Friday, December 8 from 1pm to 3p.m. at 4911 Harmon Avenue, Austin, TX 78751 at the Manos de Cristo Education wing. Manos de Cristo welcomes large group orders, as they are perfect for holiday parties, family gatherings and everyday meals.
The cost is $15 per dozen and the tamales offered by Manos de Cristo are gluten-free and come in pork, jalapeño pork, chicken, non-vegetarian bean and vegan varieties. Approximately $8 from each dozen sold goes directly to Manos programs. The more tamales you buy – the more clients we serve!
“The holidays are filled with many different family traditions and Manos is happy to be a part of them” said Julie Ballesteros, Executive Director of Manos de Cristo. “Our annual tamale sale is a meaningful and delicious way to give back to the community with proceeds making a big difference for those in need during the holiday season.”
